1. Introduction

Welcome to iSixazululi, a learning application built by Tredicik. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our application. We prioritise your privacy and ensure your data remains secure.

2. Information We Collect

iSixazululi does not collect any personal information. No accounts are required, no email addresses are collected, and no personal details are gathered.

The application requires access to the following:

• Camera: To capture images of math problems and detect objects. Images are used solely for AI analysis and are stored locally on your device.
• Photo Library: To select existing images of math problems for solving.
• Biometric (Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint): Used only to securely unlock the application on your device. Biometric data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted anywhere.

3. Local Data Storage

All of your scan data is stored locally on your device only using SQLite. This includes scan history, scanned images, and solutions and detection results.

No data is stored on our servers. All information remains on your device and is entirely under your control.

4. Third-Party Services (Anthropic Claude AI)

iSixazululi uses the Anthropic Claude AI to analyse images of math problems and provide step-by-step solutions, and to detect objects in images and provide isiZulu translations.

Data flow:

• When you scan a math problem or an object, the image is sent via API to Anthropic Claude for analysis.
• Anthropic analyses the image and returns text-based results (solutions or object detections).
• Anthropic does not store your images or personal data. Images are used only to process your request and are then discarded.

Please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy for additional details on how they handle data.

Important: Before using AI features for the first time, a consent modal will appear explaining that your images will be sent to Anthropic for analysis. You must agree before proceeding.

5. No Tracking

iSixazululi does not include any analytics or profiling, does not include advertising, does not track your location, does not collect your device information, and does not share data with anyone.

6. Children's Privacy

iSixazululi is an educational application designed for students in South Africa. The application is rated 4+ and does not contain inappropriate content, advertising, or personal data collection.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all of your scan history at any time within the application by going to Settings. Uninstalling the application from your device permanently removes all local data.

8. Legal Compliance

This privacy policy is compliant with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Since we do not collect personal information, privacy risk is virtually non-existent.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this website and within the application.
